Blueberry Spirulina Smoothie Bowl
Get your greens with this antioxidant-packed green smoothie bowl! Spinach, spirulina, blueberries, banana, chia, and Matcha Yu green tea powder contribute to an incredibly healthy breakfast (or, if you're like me and like to eat breakfast at all times of the day, dinner).
In my Coconut Spirulina Smoothie post I went into quite a bit of detail about the benefits of this super food that is truly the most super of them all. It is a type of microalgae that has been utilized by the civilizations in South and Central America for centuries. It has been used to help control cholesterol levels, weight, diabetes, and also a plethora of mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, and even ADHD. If you are as intrigued about spirulina as I am, you can read more about it on this website.
In keeping with the green theme of this smoothie bowl, one of the ingredients is Matcha Yu brand matcha green tea powder. Matcha Yu is a green tea brand based out of Australia that only sells premium culinary matcha green tea powder, houjicha matcha green tea powder, and tea accessories. Visit their website to check out their products - I highly recommend!
